What chiropractors miss in Florida
- Applicants who started chiropractic college after July 1, 2000 need a bachelor's degree, or a board-approved credentials evaluation showing equivalence, before sitting for the exam.
- After passing, written notice from the department lets the DC practice for up to 45 days pending the license.
- MOBILE Act endorsement checks the National Practitioner Data Bank; any discipline in the last five years disqualifies the applicant from that route.
Can a chiropractor licensed in another state get a Florida license by endorsement?
Under the MOBILE Act, the board licenses a DC with an active, unencumbered license in another state, a passing national exam, at least two years of active practice in the four years before applying, no discipline in the prior five years, financial responsibility and fingerprints. DCs who do not qualify use the exam route.
- Endorsement route available
- 2 years of practice required
