What chiropractors miss in New Mexico
- New York licensees cannot use the expedited route because the board finds New York's exam requirements inconsistent with New Mexico's (16.4.4.8 NMAC).
- Applications include an NPDB query, an FCLB background check and signed criminal record releases (16.4.3.8 NMAC).
- Part 2 of the rules now covers emergency licensure after a declared federal disaster rather than a general temporary permit.
Can a chiropractor licensed in another state get a New Mexico license by endorsement?
An expedited license goes to a DC with a valid, unrestricted license from an eligible jurisdiction held for at least two years before applying. New York licensees are not eligible. Any of the jurisprudence exam, NBCE Parts I–IV or Physiotherapy not already passed must be passed before the first renewal.
- Endorsement route available
- 2 years of practice required
